CCS Presentation Systems’ manufacturing partner Epson has won Learning Magazine’s 2014 Teachers’ Choice Award for the Classroom for its PowerLite X15 and DC-20 document camera. You’ll recall we wrote about these products earlier this year, with a blog post about the DC-20 document camera classroom contest and the Epson PowerLite projector.
The Teachers’ Choice Awards (this year was the 20th annual judging) honors products that offer students and teachers exceptional quality. Each of the classroom-nominated products was exclusively reviewed and judged by classroom teachers for their instructional value, ease-of-use, quality and innovation. Epson’s winning products were chosen from a record 1800+ nominations, and positive recommendations from K-12 teachers.
The Epson PowerLite X15 provides 3,000 lumens of both color light and white light output, with XGA resolution. It also includes USB Plug ‘n Play for instantly projecting video and audio from a PC or Mac(R) computer via a USB connection, and HDMI digital connectivity to connect to the latest devices for high-quality video and digital audio.
The Epson DC-20 document camera helps teachers engage students in the classroom. The DC-20 offers a 12x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom to see more detail in images without a reduction in image quality. The camera also features brighter images with amazing quality, and also connects to projectors via HDMI output, for 1080p HD quality video projection.
