St. Barnabas On The Desert

St. Barnabas On The Desert

Episcopal Parish, Scottsdale, Arizona

“All acoustic treatments were removed during a recent renovation with the intent of making the room as reverberant as possible to enhance the sound from the church’s custom-built pipe organ. The straightforward goal was to focus as much sonic energy on the audience as possible while keeping it off of the bountiful reflective surfaces. CCS designed a system led by two Qflex 40 self-powered loudspeakers mounted on left and right columns about 20 feet in front of the altar run by VNET, Tannoy’s proprietary digital processing and network protocol, hosted on a PC located in the system’s rack room. The rack room is also home to video streaming gear. There are two additional buildings on the church
campus that are utilized for other styles of worship, and via a NewTek TriCaster Studio and three Vaddio high definition pan tilt zoom cameras, can transmit video streams (via Ethernet) of the services to use within their worship program or to home bound parishioners.”

The W Hotel Scottsdale

The W Hotel Scottsdale

Scottsdale, Arizona

CCS exclusively designed and installed audio systems in all of the public areas of the hotel, including the port cochere, lobby, hallways and elevators, two bars, four meeting rooms, and the pool deck. Special underwater loudspeakers were built into the pool structure itself, so guests don’t have to swim in silence. Multiple speakers inlayed flush with the outdoor lamps provide music for those away from the bar. The men’s washroom offers a bit of whimsy with motion tripped in-wall screens providing customized video display sequences of women gazing upon the users. Inside the lobby, lounge, and bar areas also include unobtrusive speaker systems.

Project Goal

Keeping in line with The W hotel’s hip aesthetics, design and provide custom audio systems throughout the property.

Services Group

Services Group of America wanted to seamlessly incorporate technology into its new corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ.

Project Description

“The literal centerpiece of SGA Corporate Center’s high-end conference room is its pentagonal plasma video display system, weighing nearly 1 ton. A major challenge was designing a structurally sound and maintenance-friendly lift mechanism that doesn’t intrude on the room’s sight lines or elegant aesthetics. Dominating the space is the conference table, a massive wooden structure measuring 40ft. across and seating 32. The idea was to seamlessly incorporate technology that would enable everything from local PowerPoint presentations to company-wide video conferences. Another key requirement for the room was for the conference table to provide an uncluttered look, while still providing laptop connectivity and voice pickup of meeting participants.”
